Alex Clark is based only a short distance north of Hug the Mug, so we probably feel quite proud to be offering her mug range (even if it's by way of Stoke-on-Trent!).

Alex Clark has become a well-known artist in a relatively limited time as she only graduated from Newcastle in 1996. Her degree, incidentally, was in Plant Biology, rather than a more obvious subject like fine art. Alex's work is generally whimsical and sentimental.

It's certainly strongly informed by her location in upper Weardale where former steel towns and mining villages give way to wind-swept, character-building moorlands.

We offer Alex Clark mugs individually or as themed collections of 6 mugs (2 mugs x 3 designs).
